2007 'Ring 24 Date
The date has been set for the 35th ADAC Zurich 24-Stunden-Rennen on the Nürburgring, and the good news is that it not coincide with the 24 Heures du Mans. The action will commence on June 7 with the first practice sessions, and the winning team will take the chequered flag at 3pm. on June 10.

Why is it possible to avoid the dreaded date clash in 2007? - Simply put, religion. The 'Ring 24 organisers try to incorporate Corpus Christi day into their scheduling every year; this is an official holiday and therefore saves the many volunteer helpers a day of their own paid vacation. But it does not have a fixed date – it happens on the second Thursday after Pentecost, between May 21 and June 24. This basically causes the race to move up and down the calendar from one year to the next, along with the religious holidays.

This gives the genuine endurance racing fan the opportunity to take in two of the world’s most prestigious 24 hour races in one trip – budget and weather permitting.
