Two Falcons For The Britcar 24
With one Adam Sharpe Motorsport Falcon confirmed for next week’s Britcar 24 Hours, we can now add that Mike Newton’s similar (at least similarly named - Newton's car is rather older) machine will also be in the line-up – to be driven by Newton himself, Tommy Erdos, Adam Wiseberg and TBA.

The Brazilian tested the big machine at Croft on Wednesday of this week and “the car ran very well, but we’ve still got a few things to do to it before the race”.

Tommy Erdos promises that the approach to this event will be a very relaxed one: “We’re out to have some fun: we’re not going to be competitive with the Moslers.”

The noise level of the Falcon was tested at Croft, and although it was very slightly higher than the Britcar 24 maximum of 102 dB, that will be sorted out before the track opens next Friday.

Plenty of preview material to come next week. There are 63 entries on the latest list - and they include at least 23 drivers who have raced at Le Mans (including four of this year's class winners: Tommy Erdos, Mike Newton, Lawrence Tomlinson and Richard Dean - and one overall winner).
