‘Ring 24 Hours On RaceWorld TV
RaceWorld will be showing the 2006 Nürburgring 24 Hours this Thursday evening (August 17) on Sky Sports 2, at 18.00 BST - writes Mark Cole.

With its biggest-ever entry - 220 starters - and a 220,000-plus crowd around the Nordschleife, this remains one of the year's classic events. No factory BMWs, despite winning here the past two years - nor factory Audis or Opels. Instead the field is left open to privateer Porsche, Viper, BMW and Audi teams to try to conquer 'The Green Hell', although there was a two-car factory Maserati entry (bringing the Trident to the 24 Hours for the first time-ever), a factory Lamborghini Gallardo and a factory Aston Martin Vantage.
