Fund Raisers

1 Anthony Mann at Lola
Anthony Mann is part of our CAD team at Lola and also a popular and respected member of the company – writes Sam Smith. He was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2002 and underwent the necessary treatment throughout 2003. Thankfully, despite the odds being stacked against him, he is now in remission and leading a full and active life again, re-joining Lola in January 2004.

It was brought to our attention recently that he is going to take part in the London Marathon next week, and subsequently raise money for the Leukaemia Research Fund. The fund raising is going well and just about everyone at Lola is sponsoring him.

Anthony himself (right) adds that “with tremendous support from Lola personnel, family, friends and complete strangers, to date I believe I have received over £1,200 in pledges of sponsorship - my goal is to raise £2000.

“For further information and to view my online donations so far you can visit my fundraising page :-

“The facts:- 1 in 25 people will develop blood cancer in their lifetime, blood cancers are the biggest cause of death in the under 35s and leukaemia is the most common cancer in children.”

2 Claire Williams at the EERC
Claire, the EERC’s Race Secretary, explains that “as you may or may not be aware, I’m doing the Race for Life on June 11, on behalf of Cancer Research. I was wondering if I could ask as many of you as possible to sponsor me?

“We all know someone that has or is going through this horrible disease…..every penny will help towards this research.

“I have listed my fund raising website so please kick on it when you get five minutes.”

“Thank you in advance for your support.”
