Dollars Worth Of Porsche Engines
About six years ago, a large collection of new, and newly rebuilt,
Porsche racing engines were stolen from Vasek Polak's warehouse
in Torrance, California.
The Vasek Polak
Charitable Trust Foundation, working in conjunction with Pelican
Parts, recently recovered the stolen engines and auctioned them
off in a silent auction, on March 25. The lot of recovered engines
included four normally aspirated 917 engines, one brand-new 908
engine, and a 907 hillclimb unit.
