A Million Dollars Worth Of Porsche Engines
About six years ago, a large collection of new, and newly rebuilt, Porsche racing engines were stolen from Vasek Polak's warehouse in Torrance, California.

The Vasek Polak Charitable Trust Foundation, working in conjunction with Pelican Parts, recently recovered the stolen engines and auctioned them off in a silent auction, on March 25. The lot of recovered engines included four normally aspirated 917 engines, one brand-new 908 engine, and a 907 hillclimb unit.

The images show one of the 917 flat-12s. If you enjoy gloating over superb Porsche engines from the ‘60s and ‘70s, click this link, and look for the photos links.
