ASM To Run In Fujitsu V8s
“Ever since we brought out the Morgan (to Australia) and experienced Bathurst in the 2003 24 hours, I’ve been itching to be back,” comments Adam Sharpe (right).

And he will be back – to the country that provides him with a second nationality. He’s going to be racing in the Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series, in yet another Ford Falcon to join the Adam Sharpe Motorsport stable.

This one raced in the Fujitsu Series – the feeder to the V8 Supercars – in 2005: it was the #37 car, run by Mark Howard’s Howard Racing Team (below, at Adelaide last year).

ASM’s latest project will be supported by Darrell Dixon and Fortec Motorsport throughout the 2006 series down under, with the Howard Racing Team allowing the team access to their highly experienced race engineers too.

“It’s a great pleasure to welcome Adam, a real Aussie V8 enthusiast,” said Mark Howard. “We’ve kept abreast of Adam’s progress and but for work commitments I’d have been in the 24 hour car with them at Silverstone last year. Howard Racing will give ASM all the help we can.”

So it’s Britcar V8s, the Britcar 24 Hours and now the Fujitsu V8s for Adam Sharpe Motorsport – plus some work in a prototype for Adam Sharpe this season too, following his second in LMP2 at the Le Mans 24 Hours last year.
