FFSA GT Latest
Joost Custers has already brought the bulk of the PSI Experience
news for the French GT Championship, but Claude Foubert
fills in with a little more.
team owner Philippe Tillie: “To buy a Ferrari or an Aston
Martin, you have only to go to Prodrive with your cheque book. For
a Corvette, it’s another story. We have carried out long talks
and we have spent any days at Pratt & Miller, to ensure that
we could have the C6.R which won Le Mans and GT1 in the ALMS. With
the C6.R and the C5-R, we have two great cars and I am really pleased
with our line-up.”
Meanwhile, Marcel Tarrès and his Team Tarrès
will enter three cars in France this year:
a Chrysler Viper (former Larbre Compétition car) for Lucas
Lasserre and Eric Debard
a Biturbo Porsche for Olivier Porta and Frédéric Hauchard
a Chrysler Viper (the 2005 Team Tarrès Viper) for two youngsters
(two rookies): Didier Cormoreche and Philippe Mermet.
A Dodge Viper SRT10 GT3 is also on the entry list
this year, for Rémy Brouard and Philippe Nozière.
There are some changes coming, which will help the
crowds to follow the action.
The GT1 cars
will have a black windscreen strip and a black roundel on the doors,
while the GT2 cars will have a blue windscreen strip and a similar
area for the race numbers, while the French Cup entrants will be
associated with red.
Each class leader (at the start of the meeting)
will have a yellow windscreen sticker, while an orange sticker will
notify the ballast of the car.
