Race Car Live Revisited
Last Saturday’s event at Brands Hatch (December 4) saw over
500 motorsport professionals (drivers and industry personnel) at
the Kent track – for an event which looks a though it will
be a two-day affair in 2005.
Drivers could try a whole
range of cars, with a view to racing one next year, while many people
enjoyed passenger rides round the Indy circuit – see photos
by Peter May, below.
The image of
the Lotus 91 (below) is a reminder of a completely unrelated news
story for later today / tomorrow, regarding the circuit where Elio
de Angelis, in this chassis (#8), beat Keke Rosberg in his Williams
in 1982 – by 0.050 secs. It was a circuit with a
history and tradition of sportscar racing.
Apart from the
Ryan Hooker / Xero Corvette news, the only hard information to come
out of the day is that (according to MN), Miles Hulford
is aiming to enter a full season of British GTs, in a GT3 Ferrari
360. The black Damax car?
