The Girls Beat The Blokes
At Johnny Herbert’s Charity Karting Event

Despite the presence of such talents as Johnny Herbert, Allan McNish, Johnny Mowlem, Guy Smith, Andrew Kirkaldy, Tim Sugden and Jonathan Cocker – and that Button chap – at Johnny Herbert’s tenth annual karting event, at The Raceway, in King’s Cross, London, yesterday, the event was won by the ladies team.

The men were “completely thrashed,” we’re told, the girls’ team including Louise Goodman, Louise Griffiths (Jenson’s girlfriend), Susie Stoddard, Helen Gardiner and Jules Kulpinski (Jenson’s PA).

There should be a full report on Johnny’s website later today…

So come on you lot, what were you playing at?

The event raised over £25,000 for The National Kidney Research Fund. Jenson Button donated one of the helmets he wore in this year's F1 Championship, and it will be auctioned, along with several other valuable items, online at www.racingforcharity.com shortly.
