the penultimate round of the Spanish GT Championship next month,
at Jerez de la Frontera (October 9-10), Alessandro Nannini will
make his return to GT racing – driving a Maserati Trofeo,
with Gianni Giudici. This will mark the debut of the Trofeo in the
Spanish GTB class. The organisers are hoping for a significant challenge
to the Ferrari 360s.
Pagani Cars has approached the GT Sport Organisation – the
Spanish GT promoters – with the intention of entering a Pagani
Zonda in the 2005 Championship. The car would be made available
to an unnamed independent team.
KZ-1s For 2005
Spanish magazine Autopista has confirmed that Klaas Zwart
will enter two KZ-1 GT cars in the 2005 Championship. Zwart has
occasionally competed in Spain in a 911 GT2, but this looks like
an assault on the GTB title.
