Italian GT Qualifying – Enna
Gabriele Tosi is at Monza (two photos below) for the Historics
meeting this weekend - no more than 22 cars for the two one hour
races (today and Sunday) for the GT cars, plus races for Touring
cars and F1 and F2 machines – but he’s also been keeping
an eye on Enna, where the Italian GTs have been qualifying today.
The pole for round five
of eight at Enna-Pergusa has been taken for Race 1 for the new pairing,
in a Viper, of Mastracci / Gianmaria Gabbiani. The Italian Lister
took second spot, while the second row is all Viper, Baso / Cioci
and “Base Up” / Sperati.
For the second
race pole went to Matteuzzi / Perazzini (reigning champions), the
Lister second fastest again, while the second row is all N-GT for
Chiesa / Kessel followed by Pigoli / Galimberti. So as predicted,
the N-GTs have surprised a lot of the big boys.
