Spanish GT News – Albacete - Friday
No official times at Albacete yet, but we have access to some of
the hand-timed laps of the leading cars yesterday (Thursday).
The reigning GT Champions - Gines Vivancos and Jordi Gene - in the
Darro Motor Sport SEAT Toledo had a small off in the opening session
on Thursday, but the car was fixed and came out again in the second
of the three sessions.
The Lois Racing Lozano Motorsport SEAT Cupra GT, for José
Manuel Valero and Jorge Martínez, is running today (it wasn't
out yesterday) but was setting 1:44s, compared to Gene in the Toledo
who posted a 1m 31.6 (lap record is 1m 32.2) in about three laps.
The Meycom Marcos (Miguel
Angel de Castro / Angel Burgueño) is currently second quickest
today, with a Porsche GT2 third, Balfe Motorsport’s Mosler
fourth, just three hundredths away from the top three, with the
Euser Marcos in fifth. The Balfe pair (Shaun Balfe / Nigel Taylor)
look to be the most consistent line-up.
Qualifying is tomorrow.
