Andrew Jordan – Rallycross Driver
We’ve featured the 14 year old son of Mike Jordan on these pages before.

The March 27 / 28 weekend saw him rallycrossing at two venues on consecutive days: Kirkistown on Saturday and Nutts Corner on Sunday.

Having recently clinched the Junior Winter Series – first title, first series in competition – Andrew Jordan has now embarked on a bid for the British Junior Rallycross Championship.

After the two events in Ireland a week or so ago, Jordan ended up lying third in the championship, having taken a fourth and a fifth place in the two finals."Kirkistown was a really fast circuit," reported Andrew after taking an excellent fourth place in Saturday's final. He was running even better on Sunday at Nutts Corner, in third place in the final until a slight clash with another car dropped him back to fifth.

"We were on the pace, so it was a good start to the season," he said. "But I was a bit disappointed not to be on the podium."

The next round is at Lydden Hill this weekend – on Easter Monday, April 12. Andrew knows the track after success in the Winter Series, and is looking forward to a good result.

The series will be keeping father Mike Jordan fairly busy, as Andrew competes in seven more meetings during the year, spread across the British Isles.
