A Lister To Italy
No, not for the FIA GT race at Monza this weekend, but for the Italian GT Championship event at Imola – also this weekend (writes Gabriele Tosi).

The Lister Storm is chassis GTM 001, the 2003 Piccini / Deletraz FIA GT car, and the Italians at the wheel throughout the season will be Stefano Zonza and Angelo Lancelotti, last year’s runners up.

"It is not being run by the Lister works team," points out Fiona Pearce, "although we will be supporting them at every race."

There is the possibility of a Ferrari 550 appearing, run by the JMB team: if it does race, Lorenzo Casè will be one of the drivers. More 550 / 575 models are expected during the season.

Vipers still dominate the GT division though, with two from Racing Box (for the reigning champions Perazzini and Matteuzzi, and Baso / Cioci and two from the DR Sport Equipe, for Mastracci / Bonaldi and TBA / TBA.

In N-GT it will be Ferrari against Porsche. Two new RSRs will be run by EbiMotors for Riccitell / Quester and Pigoli / Galimberti, two 911s (one RSR and one RS) by the Autorlando Sport team (Moccia / Groppi in the 2004 car, Valli / Deverikos in the RS), and one or two RSs by the newly formed Newman Motorsport (Lancieri / Carli) and Sport Center (TBA)

The Ferrari troop will be led by the reigning N-GT Champions, Loris Kessel Racing, with two GTC 360s for Chiesa / Kessel (and TBA / TBA), plus two 360 Modenas from the Mastercar team for Monti / Drudi and Bortignon / TBA, one 360 Modena from Mik Corse (Francescon / Berton) and with the Yellow Racing Team joining the series during the year, with one or two cars, that will eventually make six or seven 360s.

The third class, called TN (Trofeo Nazionale) will see the European debut of the new Maserati Light version for Team Giudici (Ardigò / Mettel and Giudici / Raimondi), one Trofeo version for Cipolli / Corradi, two Ferrari 355s for Lana Corse (Emiliani-Lanci / Nattoni and for Merzario / Spatafora) and one Porsche 911 GT3 for Sada / Argenti and possibly another from EbiMotors.

The pair of races at Imola are both on Sunday, March 28.
