Donington Park Radical News
Devlin For Bruichladdich SR9 – McRae For SR8
Ben Devlin will be getting some valuable Radical
SR9 seat time at the forthcoming 1000kms at Donington Park - in
the Team Bruichladdich car, alongside regular pilots Tim Greaves
and Stuart Moseley.
With the Englishman due to anchor the driving squad
of the third SR9 chassis, currently being prepared for delivery
to the Van de Steur Racing squad in time for Petit Le Mans, the
Donington Park outing in the #21 car will give the American team
an excellent opportunity to gain some valuable experience of the
capabilities of the AER-engined chassis.
There will meanwhile be rather more than the two
regular Le Mans Series Radical chassis on track at Donington Park
as the new Radical World cup debuts as part of the support package
for the 1000km race.
The four-round series is open to all Radical models,
and will be run in four classes. The format will be 50 minute double-headers
for one- and two-driver teams.
One of the top class SR8s will be piloted at Donington
Park by new Radical road car customer Colin McRae, the ex-World
Rally Champion making his first appearance in a sportscar race since
a one off outing for Prodrive, in a Ferrari 550 at the 2004 Le Mans
After Donington Park, supporting the Le Mans Series,
the Radical World Series visits Spa-Francorchamps in October, with
the ‘Great & British’ Dunlop package, before moving
to Estoril in November for the last round of the Radical Challenge
Portugal, and ends in December at Dubai in support of the A1 GP.
