Le Mans Series Driver Points
After Spa

Well, rules are rules - but after the Spa-Francorchamps Le Mans Series race, two drivers have been hit particularly hard by the 'four hour limit' for each driver.

They're the two who worked hardest in GT2, to bring their cars into podium positions - Marc Lieb to the class win, and Tim Sugden into third. But with the race suspended and the clock still running (while the accident at the top of Eau Rouge was cleared up), both were deemed to be at the wheel while the cars were stationary on the grid, and this time counted towards their four hour maximum.

They weren't actually racing for more than four hours, but technically they were at the wheel for over four hours. Norbert Singer might have out-thought Virgo on pit strategy (Virgo were very unlucky with the timing of the last safety car period, while Autorlando used it to brilliant effect), but more than four hours is more than four hours... but they weren't actually racing for more than four hours.

Miguel Amaral, Anthony Beltoise and Bill Binnie were three drivers who completed less than an hour at the wheel at Spa.
