Sharpe Rejoins Belmondo Racing at Silverstone
An early retirement at Monza’s LMES 1000 Kms has persuaded Adam Sharpe to switch back to the Belmondo team at Silverstone next week – so he’s rejoining the team with which he finished second in LMP2 at Le Mans (photo below).

“Bill [Binnie] had a lot of bad luck with his engines at Sebring and Monza,” explains Adam Sharpe. “However, he fully understood my decision to rejoin PBR, who were so hugely successful at Le Mans this year. I wish Binnie Motorsports and new driver Sam Hancock luck at Silverstone, but not TOO much!”

Adam Sharpe will drive the #37 Belmondo Courage, with the team owner and Didier Andre.

“It was fantastic to drive with Claude-Yves [Gosselin] and Karim [Ojjeh] at Le Mans in June this year,” explains Sharpe. “Now, Silverstone will be a great opportunity for me to drive with two more PBR drivers in Paul [Belmondo] and Didier [Andre]; I was able to interact well with both of them at Le Mans, albeit we were in different cars.”

The LMP2 entry at Silverstone currently numbers 13 cars, and approximately half of them are potential race winners.
