Better Weather For Pirelli Runners At Misano
BMS Scuderia Italia and the factory Ferrari 575 GTC Evo. have been
taking advantage of much better weather at Misano than that ‘enjoyed’
by runners further north this week. It’s still been cold though.
A three day test at the
Italian track ended today. The cars present were:
Both BMS Ferrari 550s for the Italian GT Championship (Cappellari
/ Lancelotti and Malucelli).
One BMS Ferrari for the 2005 LMES (Pescatori, Ramos, Bartyan, Cressoni
and Passuti)
One BMS Ferrari 360 GTC for the Italian GT Championship (Passuti)
One N-Technology Ferrari 575 GTC Evo. (Jaime Melo)
The 550s and
the 575 each covered approximately 1,600 km over the three days,
during which they all ran very reliably. The most serious incident
was Cressoni running off the road and breaking the splitter of one
of the Ferrari 550s. The 360 had to stop early with gearbox trouble.
The best laps were set
by Jamie Melo in the 575 (1:26.9) and by Christian Pescatori in
a 550 (1:27.1).
The 550 for the LMES
was apparently fitted with a different rear wing.
The 575 completed a lot
of work with its traction control system, and the front looks significantly
different from the 2004 version.
