Further to the Promec news posted on October 14 (here),
Alex Caffi confirms (in conversation with Claude Foubert)
that the interesting PJ119 chassis will be powered by a 5 litre
Judd V10 next year – and the car will be entered in the four
The unique chassis is
not expected to be entered for the Le Mans 24 Hours.
“Of course, the
Promec is not an Audi,” says the man with 51 GP starts behind
him, “but with the Judd engine, the car will be much more
powerful. Even if it is a 2003 chassis, the car should perform well
in the 1000 kms races. We are expecting to have factory support
from Yokohama tyres.
“My partners will
be Gabrio Rosa and Michele Serafini. The car will be testing in
early 2005. My personal sponsors are Flex, Orlandi and Sipro.”
