More Promec Details
Further to the Promec news posted on October 14 (here), Alex Caffi confirms (in conversation with Claude Foubert) that the interesting PJ119 chassis will be powered by a 5 litre Judd V10 next year – and the car will be entered in the four LMES events.

The unique chassis is not expected to be entered for the Le Mans 24 Hours.

“Of course, the Promec is not an Audi,” says the man with 51 GP starts behind him, “but with the Judd engine, the car will be much more powerful. Even if it is a 2003 chassis, the car should perform well in the 1000 kms races. We are expecting to have factory support from Yokohama tyres.

“My partners will be Gabrio Rosa and Michele Serafini. The car will be testing in early 2005. My personal sponsors are Flex, Orlandi and Sipro.”

Gabrio Rosa seemed to lose interest in Porsches after retirement in this year’s Spa 24 Hours.
