The motorsport division of Shell Global Solutions has secured a
renewal of its contract to supply the Le Mans Series events. Le
Mans Series competitors will continue to use Shell’s gasoline
(and diesel) racing fuels to the end of the 2008 season.

The two fuels
are “Shell Racing Fuel LMS” and “Shell V-Power
LM24” – the latter for the diesel-powered Audi R10s.

Organised by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, under the control
of the Automobile Club de France, the anniversary of the first Grand
Prix, in 1906, will take place the day before scrutineering begins
for this year’s 24 Hours. A hundred “exceptional cars
from the 20th century” will tour the original circuit, as
it was for the Grand Prix in 1906.
