Le Mans News – Shell & The Centenary

The motorsport division of Shell Global Solutions has secured a renewal of its contract to supply the Le Mans Series events. Le Mans Series competitors will continue to use Shell’s gasoline (and diesel) racing fuels to the end of the 2008 season.

Shell recently agreed to supply petrol and diesel racing fuels to the Le Mans 24 Hours for the next three years.

The two fuels are “Shell Racing Fuel LMS” and “Shell V-Power LM24” – the latter for the diesel-powered Audi R10s.

“We’re delighted to extend our successful relationship with the Le Mans Series,” said Peter Fordemann, Business Development Manager, Shell Racing Solutions. “This series has wide appeal to teams, drivers and car manufacturers, all of which makes for a very competitive and fast-growing championship. Shell continues to demonstrate the performance of its future fuels technologies by supplying teams and car manufacturers in one of the toughest endurance series in the world.”
