An Alphand ‘Aventure’
Last week, PSI Experience announced David Hallyday as one of the drivers of its Corvette C5-R in the FFSA GT Championship, to be partnered by Philippe Alliot – writes Claude Foubert.

David Hallyday had also been announced as one of the drivers of another Corvette C5-R this year – the Luc Alphand Aventures example, with Alphand and Jérôme Policand.

Yesterday, March 7, Luc Alphand Aventures issued a press release, the words being those of Alphand’s team manager, Philippe Poncloux.

“We learned in a press release, on Wednesday February 28, that PSI Experience was entering a Corvette C5-R in the French GT Championship, for drivers Philippe Alliot and David Hallyday. “We wish them good luck and success for this championship.

”The PSI Experience team will also enter the Le Mans Series with this Corvette C5-R, with a line-up still unknown.

”We respect David's choice but owing to our entry in the Le Mans Series, with the purpose of being on the podium by the end of the season, and with the technical specifications that we are bringing into play on our Corvette C5-R, it will not be possible to keep in the Luc Alphand Aventures team a driver already involved in a similar car for another team.

”So, we have renounced David Hallyday’s services for the 2006 Le Mans Series, and for the Le Mans 24 Hours as well.

”We will announce later the choice of our third driver for the next 24 Hours."
