Spinnaker Clan Des Team Dallara Withdraws
SportAuto&Moto reports on page 7 of today’s magazine
that the Spinnaker Clan Des Team has just withdrawn from Le Mans
- writes Gabriele Tosi. After a test last Friday at Vallelunga,
Anselmo Cosmo’s took the decision to withdrawn from the 24
go to Le Mans but the LMES programme has been confirmed,”
says Cosmo. “We solved the problem we had at Monza, but with
so few miles done it makes nonsense to go and race at Le Mans, we
simply hadn’t time to test all the parts for such a cruel
race as Le Mans. We also had some problem with drivers withdrawn
to drive, so it is better to take a step back from this year.”
That means that
the second WR is in the race.
More entry news
is that the #34 Epsilon Courage, which was on the original ACO timetable
for scrutineering (last week) has now been withdrawn from their
latest scrutineering list. The #35 Epsilon Courage is still on the
scrutineering timetable (for Tuesday morning). 49 to start? That
Monday / Tuesday timetable does have both Seikel cars listed and
both WRs - but still has the Italian Dallara listed.
In other SportAuto&Moto news, the Promec has been withdrawn
from the Nurburgring LMES round, because the Peugeot engine - not
replaced yet – is still burning too much oil. The team expects
to have a new engine (Zytek or Mugen) installed for the second pair
of LMES races (Silverstone and Spa).
Jan Lammers will probably
have a wry smile on his face when he reads that the Italian Dallara
has been withdrawn.
