Hornish & Castroneves For The Rolex 24
It’s that time of year when anyone who is anyone might turn up in a DP, to drive at the Rolex 24. This week it’s IRL Champion Sam Hornish, plus his Penske team-mate Helio Castroneves, who will race a Riley Lexus at the 24 hour race: they’ll share the #60 Michael Shank entry, with Utah winners Mark Patterson and Oswaldo Negri.

Castroneves was at Daytona International Speedway today, Tuesday, to turn his first laps in a Daytona Prototype, and the team confirmed that Hornish Jr. would join them at Homestead-Miami Speedway for the Hoosier Tire test, December 5-6.

"I've been trying to do this race for a few years now,” said Castroneves, “and to be able to compete on the same team as my good friend Oz, and for such a good team owner in Mike (Shank), it's unique. It will be the first time that I won't try to beat Sam in a race. Actually, it will be the first time I'll be rooting for him."

Justin Wilson and A.J. Allmendinger were the lucky pair in #60 last year, when the Riley finished second at the Rolex 24.
