Updated Rolex Test Days Entry
It's the November test days starting today, November 6, at the 'World Center of Racing', and the revised entry list features some subtle changes from the one originally released.

Howard Motorsports has two Crawford Pontiacs ready to go, to be driven by Andy Wallace and Butch Leitzinger - but not Danica Patrick. She raced for the team at the Rolex 24 earlier this year, but a big issue has been made of the fact that she won't be driving for the team this week.

Rick Howard, of Howard Motorsorts: "Howard Motorsports was recently informed that Danica Patrick is not available to participate in the upcoming test at Daytona International Speedway due to unforeseen circumstances. Prior to filing the entries, the team had every assurance that Danica would participate, and based on conversations between Danica and members of Howard Motorsports, Danica was excited about joining the team once again after making her Rolex 24 At Daytona in the team’s No. 2 Callaway Golf Pontiac Crawford earlier this year. Unfortunately, entities outside of Danica and the Howard Motorsports team have determined that she cannot participate in the test.”

Milka Duno and Katherine Legge will be representing the fairer sex though, the Venezuelan in the #11 SAMAX Riley, the English lady in the Robinson Riley.

Three cars have dropped off the list: one of the TRG Porsches, the #5 Essex / Finlay Crawford, and the elusive #34 Canadian All American Racers Pontiac Grand-Am, an entry that sometimes appeared on Rolex entry lists in 2006.

The additions are in bold, below, and that includes Bryan Sellers in the Crawford-built Infinity (Infiniti) G35 GT car, the first of which was first tested in mid-summer at Mid-Ohio, with very promising results, but never actually made a race in 2006. Note also that a Fabcar has appeared - for Cheever Racing. "Eddie and his engineering team recognize the potential of the FABCAR DP and feel with continued development the car can be made competitive," says Dave Klym.

Also in bold is an engine change for the Krohn Rileys, which are back to Pontiacs, after a post-Rolex 24 switch to Fords early this year. Will the Pontiac be the engine to have, at least for the early-season races?

Russell Wittenberg will be popping in and out of the Speedway, and will bring the news in due course - although he's under the weather today, unfortunately.
