Problems At The Glen
The Rolex Series event at Watkins Glen should have started by now (15.00 local time), but "the 3.00PM practice has been cancelled. The first practice session will be at 7.00PM".

The issue revolves around 17 year old Colin Braun, who races the #76 Krohn Racing Riley Ford. The young man is unable to race at this event for the same reason that he was barred from racing at Homestead earlier this season: tobacco sponsorship - of the Penske IRL cars (the open wheelers are sharing this meeting with the Rolex Series).

Team owner Tracy Krohn (right) has apparently taken action in the courts to prevent the meeting starting without his young driver able to participate.

Max Papis replaced the 17 year old at Homestead earlier this season, as a result of which Braun trails partner Jorg Bergmeister by 23 points in the driver standings.

Here's Colin Braun on a happier occasion, at Mexico City earlier this season (below).
