Motorsport – Two FIA SCC Races
That man Legangneux has done it again: he’s been in contact with
Renauer Motorsport, and their 2003 programme will include two FIA SCC
races, at Monza and Spa – but they’re also racing in the
Czech Endurance Championship, with races at Brno (twice) and Most. The
car will again be their 2001 Tampolli Alfa Romeo.
Their main programme will be in Formula Renault, as they will run two
single seaters in the Italian and Swiss championships.
It’s more positive for 2004, as the team are planning a definite
sportscar programme in the FIA SCC – with a new SR2 car, driven
by their current single seater drivers. But just running two events doesn’t
really add to the SCC in a meaningful way. It needs entrants prepared
to enter all seven rounds.
