Pirelli Testing At Misano – Day 4
Cold again at Misano today, Friday – and very wet too, all day.

Not a day for teams to achieve a great deal, and times meant little. The BMS Aston Martins were working on wet set-ups and traction control, while the Autorlando Porsche of Lieb and Camathias didn’t go out at all: the team packed up and went home.

The other Autorlando Porsche, for the Danes, suffered a light crash to the right front (Gunnar Kristensen at the wheel).

Bertolini and Bartels drove the Vitaphone Maserati MC12, and were working on the car’s traction control system (84 laps and a best of 1:42.540, by Bertolini), while Bertolini also covered some laps in the white Maserati Light, with the sequential gearbox: Bartels set a best of 2:00.274 in this one. Fabrizio de Simone spent a lot of time in this car, which was also driven by Iradj Alexander David.

Italtecnica, with the red Maserati, simply went home.

But Jaime Melo, likely to be racing at Sebring next month, covered many laps in the Ferrari 430 GTC, and he too was working on traction control. GPC, with its Ferrari 360, went home.

Luca Riccitelli was up for the challenge in the Ebimotors Porsche, covering many laps in the wet (no traction control on this one).

And finally, the Scuderia Playteam Maserati MC 12 did venture out, Alessandro Pierguidi covering 34
laps and setting a best of 1:45.212.

With thanks to our man with the information, throughout this week.
