A Baby Snowdon
We haven’t heard from Peter Snowdon, in racing terms, since the Spa 24 Hours in 2004 – where he raced the Creation Autosportif Lister Storm.

He still has racing aspirations for 2006, perhaps in the Le Mans Series, although he’d “love to do something in GT3s”.

He’s been busy in other aspects of his life though, having got married just over a year ago, to Helen. They’ve just become parents, Helen having delievered a beautiful little girl at 07.45 on January 9.

“Racing is undoubtedly in her blood,” said the proud dad, “as she proved by being so keen to arrive that she was four weeks early, required only 2hrs 20mins of labour from start to finish and was born a mere 13mins after her ambulance pitted.”

Mum and dad have named here Alexandra Louise Margaret Snowdon – so the poor little girl is already afflicted with racing initials.

“She will be known as Lexi and will no doubt dine out on the fact that her first journey in a car was with her father at the wheel of a Porsche!”
