Matt Allison And Jonny Lang Are The Cup Class Champions
It was decided this morning, at a hearing to consider the appeal of the Lang / Allison pair into the ruling that was made at Silverstone last month - into the incident at Brands Hatch in August.

The conclusion seems to have been that Phil Keen, partnering Ryan Hooker, might not have made it round Dingle Dell without the contact with the #5 car, driven by Matt Allison, so the final points go in favour of Lang and Allison - and not poor Ryan Hooker.

"Matt and Jonny did a good job and they deserve the title - but Ryan deserves it too, and I feel really sorry for him," says a diplomatic Piers Masarati.

It's the British GT dinner in London tonight, so perhaps they can finally put this one to bed over a beer.

Here then are the 2006 Avon Tyres British GT Cup Champions - Jonny Lang and Matt Allison, for Trackspeed of course.
