British GT Entry News
It’s a full 30 car field at Brands Hatch this weekend, with the GP track exerting its usual appeal on GT racers.

David Ashburn makes a return to the series, in a GT3 Trackspeed Porsche, partnered by Danny Watts, who raced with Ryan Hooker in the #3 Trackspeed GT Cup car at Pau in June.

“David wants Danny in the car with him, and he wants to win,” says Trackspeed’s team manager Piers Masarati. “Danny has been winning everything in the Carrera Cup recently. Next year, David wants the team to run three 997 GT3s.”

Two Barwell Aston Martins are back this week, to race against single GT3 entries from Lotus Sport Cadena and Damax. Richards Stanton and Hay will drive the Ascari KZR1.

Matt Griffin makes a return to the championship in a Porsche: he partners Peter Bamford in a Motorbase Cup Class 911, the team also entering Tom Ferrier and Phil Glew in another Porsche, while Jaz Motorsport also runs a Porsche for Paul Mace and Rod Carmen (in the Invitation Class). They’ll be up against the Maxspeed Toyota, on its (delayed) British GT debut.

Also ‘new’ to the series this year will be two Scuderia Grifocorse entries – a Ferrari 360 and the team’s familiar Lotus Elise.

Full preview to come.
