BGT Media Day 17 – The Trident Iceni
Phil Bevan was on good form at Silverstone on March 22: the man behind the Trident project was bubbling at the prospect of having a brand new, diesel-powered car out for Oulton Park next month.

The 2005 version of the British sportscar was present at Silverstone, but didn’t run after a wiring problem developed as the car was fired up.

“We’re in the championship for the whole season,” he remarked. “The new car will be ready for the first race, and we’ll be out testing before then.”

Enzo Mucci will race the Iceni, and Bevan is “looking for a co-driver who is after something different.”

The 2005 car was present in a pristine white colour scheme – with very significant sponsorship news to come.

Malcolm Warden is the man looking after “the office, administration and finance” of Phil Bevan’s enterprise, because “Phil is great at getting out and about talking to people, I’m providing the support behind him.”

And that concludes dsc’s coverage of the media and test day at Silverstone. Next stop, Oulton Park, on April 15-17.
