Motion Works To ‘Look After’ British GTs
SRO has appointed Roger Etcell’s Motion Works UK Limited to run press and PR for the Avon Tyres British GT Championship this year – and the British F3 International series.

Roger Etcell has a long history as part of the British GT Championship: the much-missed PowerTour was his initiative. Motion Works’ newly appointed Press & PR Manager is Jeff Carter, formerly at Rockingham, and he will be the main point of contact for day-to-day media enquiries.

Our main aim,” says Roger Etcell, “is to work with the teams, sponsors and the circuits to increase the media information and profile of the two championships and in turn attract more people to come along and watch some extremely exciting national racing during 2006.”

“Motion Works will work on increasing both the public and media awareness of both championships,” commented SRO Chairman Stephane Ratel, “working closely with SRO and all of the sponsors, including the GT’s new title sponsor Avon Tyres. I’m confident that 2006 is going to produce some exciting opportunities, both on and off the track.”

British GTs will be supported by the UK Formula Ford Championship, the Caterham Superlight Challenge, the Volkswagen Racing Cup, Ginetta Championship and the Formula Palmer Audi Championship - with further guest races at each of the meetings throughout 2006.

The F3/GT Media Day is at Silverstone on March 22, and the F3s and GTs go racing for the first time at Oulton Park on April 15/16/17.
