A Corvette Dies
As one racing Corvette (Embassy Racing’s) comes to life, so we hear of the ‘death’ of another – a ‘94 / ’95 Callaway version. Joost Custers explains…

The fact that I had a car accident last week isn't worth mentioning, but my car is being repaired by none other than Belcar racer Marc Vannerum. I took my Mitsubishi to Marc this week, and while he was looking at the damage, I was looking at photographs and models of the cars Marc has driven.

One of the most beautiful was a former Agusta Racing Callaway Corvette, one of the two team cars at Le Mans in 1995. Marc Vannerum sold the car to Frank Hahn (who drove the SRT Corvette this year during the Zolder 24 hours) and the latter still competed in several races during the 2001 season (photograph) with the car.

Unfortunately, a huge fire three or four months ago destroyed Frank's business and also the gorgeous Corvette ... a sad end for a beautiful car.
