Graham
Back In The ALMS
John Graham returns to the ALMS early next month, racing the Autocon
Motorsports Lola EX257, with Chris McMurry, in the Grand Prix of
Mosport (September 1-3).
"This
is definitely a great opportunity for me,” said the Canadian.
“Mike Lewis and Autocon have done an outstanding job this
season, and I am pleased to be part of the team for this race, and
into 2007 season."
That’s
a reference to the fact that John Graham has signed a multi-race
agreement that will see him compete with Autocon at the 2007 12
Hours of Sebring, and bring him back to Mosport for next season’s
race. Discussions are underway regarding other races in the ALMS
next year: Autocon has already announced plans to run two Lolas
next year.
“With
Mosport being his home track he will bring a wealth of experience
and knowledge to the team, and I know we will have an excellent
shot at a strong finish,” said Mike Lewis.
That experience
includes a class win at Le Mans in 2000 and class podium finishes
at Sebring, Petit Le Mans, Portland, Infineon Raceway, Mosport and
Adelaide.
"Mosport
is one of the greatest tracks in the world,” adds John Graham.
“It is a real driver's track and the competition is always
fierce from beginning to end."
