Fogarty Joins The Lizard Three
The movers and shakers from the GT Class of the 2004 ALMS – Flying Lizard Motorsports – has announced that three of its drivers will continue into 2005, with Jon Fogarty (who drove in the ’04 endurance races) joining full time for 2005, replacing Darren Law. Fogarty / Johannes van Overbeek and Seth Neiman / Lonnie Pechnik will drive the pair of 911 GT3-RSRs.

Flying Lizard Motorsports had an astonishing first season of ALMS competition, heading the established ‘factory’ team of Alex Job Racing for part of the year, and finishing second in ALMS Team points.“I'm looking forward to getting the No. 45 out on track in 2005 and having Jon on board as my driving partner," said Johannes van Overbeek (left). "Finishing second in GT in the Drivers' Championship in 2004 far exceeded our expectations for a first-year team. Our commitment is to continue to build on that and do even better next year."

“We'll see what Seth and I can do to build on what we learned in our first year and do even better in 2005," said Lonnie Pechnik.

A wider view of the Lizards heading into 2005 later this week on dsc, with Seth Neiman.

Jon Fogarty has already shown himself to be blindingly quick in a Porsche, and he and van Overbeek are going to be a very strong pair in the new season. “Other than the difference in height, Johannes and I are very complementary: we are both laser-focused on competing at the highest level we can," says Fogarty (below, with Neiman and Pechnik).

Flying Lizard Motorsports is expected to make its Le Mans 24 Hours debut in 2005.
