Further to the news posted earlier today, we can now clarify
the situation with the BAM! Porsche(s).
damaged the team’s new GT3-RSR on his third lap of
Sebring, on Friday, cause unknown. The car was badly damaged,
and will require a new shell.
what seems to have been a furious – but successful –
‘thrash’ the team will be out running on Monday at Sebring,
with its 2003 GT3-RS chassis, the one which ran as the Orbit car
at Le Mans, to second in class last June.
So the ten (we
think) RSRs at Sebring are down to nine.
"I messed up in the braking zone of [turn] 15," explains
Peter Baron. "The car moved over into the grass - not spinning,
it just slid over - and as soon as the car was in the grass, I had
a bad three-second ride straight into a wall. It was a minor mistake
in the wrong spot that resulted in a major mishap.
