BAM! Update
Further to the news posted earlier today, we can now clarify the situation with the BAM! Porsche(s).

Peter Baron damaged the team’s new GT3-RSR on his third lap of Sebring, on Friday, cause unknown. The car was badly damaged, and will require a new shell.

However, in what seems to have been a furious – but successful – ‘thrash’ the team will be out running on Monday at Sebring, with its 2003 GT3-RS chassis, the one which ran as the Orbit car at Le Mans, to second in class last June.

So the ten (we think) RSRs at Sebring are down to nine.

Update: "I messed up in the braking zone of [turn] 15," explains Peter Baron. "The car moved over into the grass - not spinning, it just slid over - and as soon as the car was in the grass, I had a bad three-second ride straight into a wall. It was a minor mistake in the wrong spot that resulted in a major mishap.

"I was fortunate to be in a Porsche. It was remarkable that I was able to walk away from the shunt with only strained neck muscles, truly a testament to the safety and design of the Porsche."
