Sebring Endurance Challenge Meeting

Photography by Robin Thompson

Next week sees the start of the first meeting of the year for the American Le Mans Series (the 52nd running of the 12 Hours), but Sebring itself has already blown away the off-season cobwebs with the Sebring Endurance Challenge meeting, staged last weekend by HSR.

Renowned motorsport artist and photographer Robin Thompson was at the track and we’re very grateful to him for sending this selection of iamges.

Check out his website for some superb motorsport artwork (the Editor is particularly taken with the print of the Can-Am Porsches).

In amongst the real historics was a rather more recent part of sportscar racing history, the ex Team Lark McLaren F1 GTR. With the return of a Lotus Elise GT1 and the Panoz GTP to the tracks this season could this stunning looking beast make it an ex-GT1 trio?
