Collins Joins Wagner & Long
Kelly Collins will join Cort Wagner and Patrick Long in the lead Racers Group / New Century Mortgage Racers Group Porsche for Sebring.

dailysportscar.comCollins brings masses of recent Sebring experience with him from his years with Corvette. He and team-mate Oliver Gavin were dominating the GTS class last year at Sebring before a mechanical failure put them out of the race. They did however capture wins at Road Atlanta and Trois Rivieres in the very competitive GTS class last season.

"I'm just happy to have a rear view mirror and a motor behind me again!" Kelly said. "This is a great situation for all of us to be in - Cort and I have been friends forever, going all the way back to his days as a student of mine. We've been very successful teammates, we won the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring together in 1999, and I'm thrilled to be team-mates again with him in such a good, competitive car.

"Patrick Long is also a friend and former student of mine, which I suppose makes me the old guy in the car. It's fantastic to run a car with my friends, and what's better is that we're all from California. It's going to be good to put the American back into American Le Mans! I'm very thankful to New Century Mortgage for the opportunity they've given us to run such a high-profile, professional racing effort with a team of this caliber.

"I'm really happy to be racing with Kevin Buckler and The Racers Group and thankful that he thought enough of me to add me to his team for an event such as Sebring," concluded a clearly delighted Kelly Collins.
