BAM! Tests Its RSR
The RSRs are arriving with their new owners, and the first ones are off and running already: the new Florida-based team received its car eight days ago, and tested it at Road Atlanta earlier this week (Monday and Tuesday).

Mike Rockenfeller did the honours: "The car was good. We were faster than at the Petit, for sure, but we had different conditions and a new car. It helped me a lot to get more laps, especially in the new car, and I learned a lot from the data. Everything went smoothly; not every test goes that way, but it was good."

"Being the first team out testing is indicative of the talent we have assembled and that was reflected in the attitude and enthusiasm of everybody there," said Peter Baron. "It was great that we were able to get the car just last week from Germany, turn it around in a couple of days and get here to do the testing. We're very pleased with the new team -- the operation of the two-day test went flawlessly.

"The RSR is a significant advancement of the '03 car and we saw lap times that reflected that. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate so we couldn't really work too much on setup, so it was more familiarization with the car and the new parts on it, evaluating the base package. But we have a significant testing and development plan ahead of us."

The first name on the roof of the car is that of Sascha Maassen, who was present to help with the initial test. "His name was on the car because the BAM! crew is super-efficient and courteous in welcoming team guests."
