Petersen / White Lightning Names Stanton & Murry
For The Full ALMS Season
With An RSR

“We are set to be a big challenge to anyone in GT,” affirms team owner Michael Petersen – and with Craig Stanton / David Murry driving, with a new GT3-RSR and with Michelin tyres, you’d struggle to argue with him.

After all, this was the only team to beat Alex Job Racing in 2003, and the expectation is that the equipment will provide a more level playing field in 2004.

The Petersen / White Lightning team will again run the #31 entry with backing from Westward Ho Casino / MMPIE / PAWS / Justice Brothers. And it will be a full nine race schedule for 2004. Dale White returns as team manager, Harry Haggard as team engineer and Kent Moore will again be the lead technician. That sounds like all the ingredients in place….

“Even though the competition should be very tough, we are all very excited about Craig and David,” commented Petersen. “We are confident that they will give our competition a very hard time. This is the second year that I have felt that it was time to go for the championship. All the cards have fallen into the right place and 2004 should be a very good year for Petersen Motorsports / White Lightning Racing. The Westward Ho Porsche will be ready to give-out some Ferrari ass-kicking! Most importantly, we will put on a good show and have one hell of a good season."

Dale White: "Craig and David are both experienced, smart drivers that work well together. Their consistency will give us the best chance for a championship, and to win races, of any pairing we could ask to put in the Petersen Motorsports / White Lightning Racing Porsche."

”They were a part of winning Le Mans last year and finished right behind the factory team in points without even competing in the full schedule,” enthused David Murry. “This year they are committed to the entire season and the title. I am also thrilled to have one of the best co-drivers anyone could ask for, Craig Stanton. We have been team-mates before and it was a great partnership. Somebody pinch me!"

”The team has committed to run a full season which has put us in serious contention for the championship,” said an equally enthusiastic Craig Stanton. “I'm really excited about being able run with David Murry for the full season. Everyone here is very professional, very focused and has many resources in their bag of tricks. Dale and Mike have a great vision for this year and I am really, really excited about being a part of it."
