Brabs In A Saleen At Sebring
dailysportscar.comThree drivers in a GTS car is the norm for Sebring – so Jeff Giangrande has done the logical thing and employed the best man available, to join Johnny Mowlem and Terry Borcheller, in the ACEMCO Saleen: David Brabham.

From Bentley at Sebring last year (through Bentley at Le Mans and then the Care Racing Ferrari in the bulk of the ALMS) to Saleen at Sebring this year, it’s been an eventful 12 months for the Australian. Next month, he’ll be racing against long time partner Jan Magnussen, of course.

The arrangement is currently for just this one race, but could we see him in the Saleen or something else this season?

“There are quite a few things on the boil,” commented Brabham, “but this offer came up and it was obviously better to get a race under my belt. As far as the rest of the year goes, nothing is set yet – but I could be in a Ferrari in the ALMS, or something in Europe.”

He’ll be testing with ACEMCO at Sebring during the week beginning March 23, and that will be the Australian’s first opportunity to drive a Saleen.

Yes, he is still an Australian: remember his driving suit at Le Mans last June? Bentley seemed to want to turn him into a British racing driver.
