Chaparral Images From The 1960s
And a group showing the 'sucker' car in 1970.

dsc reader Clay Sims was reminded of these images of his as soon as Andy Hartwell mentioned the opening of the Chaparral Gallery earlier this week.

Here we have the Chaparral 2 at Pensacola in 1964 or '65, the 2D at Sebring in 1967, the 2F at the same circuit in the same race (two images) and the 2J sucker car at Road Atlanta in 1970. The best result from this group of cars at these races was a sixth place for Vic Elford in the 2J - the race won by Tony Dean in his Porsche 908. Mike Spence did set fastest lap in #6 at Sebring in 1967.
